Over the past two years our small community in the Municipality of Centre Hastings has raised over $350 000 towards the construction of a large concrete skatepark, a small bunny skatepark, and a canteen with washroom facilities.
We have raised this money through contributions from the Municipality of Centre Hastings, Ontario Trillium Foundation, Community Futures, and many generous donations from businesses, corporations, and individuals in our community.
To date, we have received $50 000 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, $10 000 from Community Futures, $2500 from TD Canada Trust, and several donations from groups and individuals.

 Lawnbowling for Charity
Dave Hill and the Madoc Lawnbowling Club challenged the Municipality of Centre Hastings, the Ontario Provincial Police, the Madoc Township Volunteer Fire Department, and the Centre Hastings Volunteer Fire Department to compete against one another lawnbowling for a $640.00 donation to the charity of the winners' choice.
Everyone had such a good time that many hope that the Madoc Lawnbowling Club will repeat this successful evening next year with the opportunity of lawnbowling for charity.
