Rosas' Hendrixian wah-wah wired solo is the only fancy thing about the song--that and the outro, during which the guitarist unleashes a torrential cloud burst of shuddering feedback.
Rosas' chicken-scratch rhythm guitar alternates between filling in the gaps and reiterating Baytos' B-3 interjections.
Rosas' lyric is a stinging malediction against Devil Woman (the "girl-gone-bad" theme seems something of an obsession for the guitarist).

 LOS LOBOS TURNS 25
And guitarist/singer Cesar Rosas has carved out a niche of his own with his songs: rough-and-tumble rockers, charged R&B, and those spry Mexican waltzes and polkas.
Typically, Cesar Rosas' tunes came in fully demo'd, with him playing all the instruments, “and Dave [Hidalgo] would bring in these scrappy guitar-and-voice versions of songs; they wouldn't even have lyrics; Louie [Perez] would do those later,” Leckie says.
And then there was the case of the Rosas tune “Luz de Mi Vida.” “It had five or six different little parts that were all these crazy Spanish rhythms and things,” Leckie marvels.

While less prolific than the team of David Hidalgo and Louis Perez, his rootsy compositions, fiery guitar playing, and gritty vocals act as an important counterweight in the band's sonic blend.

Colossal Head was the culmination of aural experimentation born out of The Latin Playboys, a 1992 side project between Lobos members Hidalgo and Louie Perez and future Colossal Head producers Tchad Blake and Mitchell Froom.
But if Hidalgo and Perez are the avant-gardists of the group, then Rosas is its blues-based soul, and his solo record opts for a simpler update of the East L.A. rhythm and blues with which Los Lobos made its name.

 CMT.com : Los Lobos : Biography
Los Lobos were formed in 1974 by David Hidalgo, Conrad Lozano, Louie Prez and Cesar Rosas -- four friends from Garfield High School in east Los Angeles.
Hidalgo, who handles most of the lead vocals, teamed with Prez to write the majority of Los Lobos' original songs, with Rosas providing vocals and songwriting on the rest.
About this time, the L.A. music scene began exploding with a new generation of bands like the Blasters and X. The common ground with a lot of these bands, however, was a mutual respect for the roots of rock 'n' roll and creating new hybrids from the early years of rock.

By releasing a rocking-good solo album for fans with a ferocious appetite for more of the same.
It's difficult to think about Cesar Rosas without recalling his faithful service as the guitar player, and sometime singer and songwriter for the East L.A. band Los Lobos (he's the shorter fellow sporting the shades in most of the band's photos).
As the most guileless member of the band, Rosas wrote and sang some of the band's finest, most straight-forward rock numbers, such as "Don't Worry Baby," "Little Japan," and "Set Me Free (Rosa Lee)." Soul Disguise is packed with such songs: straight-forward, raw rock and roll stripped of pretense and bone-rattling to the core.

One of the band's many strengths is the contrast between the formidable songwriting of David Hidalgo/Louie Perez and Cesar Rosas, with the former exploring stories of sadness and hope while the latter rocks like a barn on fire.

The four Mexican-American East Los Angelenos (Cesar Rosas, Louie Pérez, Conrad R. Lozano and David Hidalgo) plus ex-Blaster saxman and producer Steve Berlin, who joined in time for the second Slash record, are peerless masters of a wide range of musics.
Under the usually reliable production direction of T-Bone Burnett, the maturing band sheds its richly complex musical personality for a hodgepodge of assimilationist easy-listening crap and ill-advised stylistic dilettantism.
"Prenda del Alma," a traditional Spanish ballad, seems horribly (and ironically) out of place; the gritty "Shakin' Shakin' Shakes," co-written by Burnett and guitarist Cesar Rosas, belongs on a Blasters record; "Set Me Free (Rosa Lee)" is a brassy mess with synth drums.
