Official Website of the NHL Alumni as powered by SLAM! Sports
In the latter part of the 1950's Maniago posted solid numbers with the St. Michael's Majors of the OHA for two seasons, prior to suiting up with the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen in 1959-60.
Maniago managed to double his previous NHL action totals from seven games to 14, but he once again was hockey's version of the travelling man, wearing the colours of Hull, Quebec and Spokane, all in the same season.
That very year, Maniago was between the pipes for 52 games, winning 21 of them, but more importantly, he won over fans and management with his acrobatic moves and lightning-quick reflexes.

So it's no wonder his book is totally unique too - filled with his personal hockey scrapbook along with his insights into teammates, the other goalies around the NHL, and the evolution of hockey during the 1950s, 60s and 70s...
What set him apart was his determination to become one of the greatest goalies in the NHL.
