For example, the Mishna Berura (330:1) cites the Sefer Chassidim, which says that a woman in her ninth month of pregnancy should prepare on Friday whatever might be necessary for her in the event that she begins labor on Shabbat.
An individual suggested to Rav Chaim Ozer Grodzinski (Teshuvot Achiezer 3:61) that even artificial feeding on Yom HaKippurim should be forbidden because it satisfies the patient's hunger.
Rav Chaim Ozer argues that since the Torah records that Hashem fed us the manna to satisfy our hunger, we see that only oral ingestion of food satisfies hunger.

Obviously, they had a perfect right to dispute R' Chaim Ozer's heter; and that being the case, it's not for the kosher consumer to decide between these different opinions - the only thing one can do is to ask his or her LOR which opinion to follow.
Other rules may come into play, such as not standing out from the rest of the community, or not undermining the authority of the community's chosen rabbi, but let's get back to the original topic, that of various competing hechsherim.

Zonnenfeld was, in fact, “an Av Beis Din [Chief of a Rabbinical Court] in The Holy City of Jerusalem,” Rav Chaim Ozer [Grodzinski]’s reference to him as such is hardly surprising, and reflects no political slant.

Thus, if other lenient considerations exist, such as if a witness to the wedding ceremony was unqualified to serve as a witness or if the husband is missing and possibly may be dead, one may rule leniently and permit the woman to remarry.
An example of such a lenient ruling is found in Rav Chaim Ozer Grodzinki's Teshuvot Acheizer I:27).
It should be emphasized that Rav Chaim Ozer had other reasons to issue a lenient ruling besides the "Kiddushei Ta'ut" factor.

 Kidushei Taut
Between the other considerations and the lighter status of rabbinical prohibitions, a rabbi might rule leniently and permit the woman to remarry in such a case.
Rav Chaim Ozer Grodzinski (Teshuvot Acheizer 1:27), for example, combined other lenient considerations with the possibility of kiddushei ta'ut, in a case where it seems clear that he would not have permitted the woman to remarry solely based on kiddushei ta'ut.
These authorities believe that one should not interpret the phrase "nicha lah b'chol d'hu" as meaning that a woman will literally marry "any" man. Rather, there are some men who are actually considered less than kol d'hu (minimal).

As noted by Rabbi Chaim Berlin (Even Shoham, Kuntress Haagunot), this states a strong case in that in such a circumstance, one is fairly certain that this woman would not agree to marry this man. 41.
However, I believe that Rabbi Feinstein is less inclined to consider defects in the woman to be relevant for kidushai ta'ut than defects in the man, as defects in the woman can be grounds to compel her to receive a get, thus reducing the need for this rationale.
