		Furthermore, I think Terry is either running out of ideas (the series was very creative at the beginning but as it has progressed has become less and less original) or is really in a hurry to get the books out.
		Some of the concepts in Chainfire are recognizably borrowed from other epic fantasy series (ahem, Robert Jordan) that showed even greater promise in the beginning but that I got sick of and entirely gave up on.
		Chainfire also is not a self-contained novel like some of the earlier ones, but resorts to the cynical marketing trick of an inconclusive ending.

		Let's all hope that Phantom will be better and when you buy and read Chainfire just leaf through the speeches or any other parts you find boring so you know what's going on.
		Even a big important battle scene is barely talked about so they could focus on repeating Richards feelings to someone new...

		In Naked Empire, it felt like TG just made up a group with crazy ideas solely for Richard to talk some sense into.
		In Chainfire, the many talks about the nature of Truth, and Rights vs. Responibilities fit better.
		(which was my big beef with NE) I hereby dub Chainfire the best book since FotF YMMV *I'm not counting 'teasers' or the overall story arc of the entire series, obviously, but all the previous books HAVE been fairly self contained.
