 OSCE Press release - Central Election Commission approves final results of Kosovo Assembly election
Twelve entities were certified to contest the 20 seats reserved or 'set-aside' for Kosovo's smaller communities in addition to the 100 multi-ethnic seats.
The 2004 Kosovo Assembly election results will be certified by the UN Special Representative, Søren Jessen-Petersen, following a 48-hour period for any further complaints on the count process.
Several of the 120 new Assembly members are already serving on a Municipal Assembly.

Consensus on a set of principles for a peace agreement concerning Kosovo was reached on 3 June 1999 between the President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) and a joint delegation of the European Union and the Russian Federation.
On 18 January 1999 the Tribunal's Prosecutor was denied access by the FRY authorities to visit Kosovo in connection with alleged crimes falling within the Tribunal's jurisdiction.
The head of the KVM will be the chair of this all important body, charged with supervising the overall implementation of the agreement, with final authority to resolve disputes, and an obligation by the parties to abide by the Chair's decisions.

All 26 delegates of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) left the session after U.N. top administrator Hans Haekkerup cut off party leader Hashim Thaci's microphone, saying that the agenda did not allow anyone to take the floor until the vote on the presidency was finished.
The remainder of the assembly elected two members of the province's largest party, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), two Serbs from the Return Coalition and one delegate representing non-Serb minorities onto the presidency.
The 120-seat assembly elected Nov. 17 will govern Kosovo alongside the U.N. The assembly is subject to U.N. veto and has no power to declare independence from Serbia - the main goal of all Kosovo's ethnic Albanian parties.
