 | | As far as it is known, around the year 1000 BC Chalcatzingo was the only archaeological site of the Mexican central high plateau with relevant architecture, constructions of a civil nature and outstanding bas-reliefs, as well as stone-carved sculptures, representing the first artistic manifestations of their kind within the Middle America area. |
