FA Cup - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly known as the FA Cup, is a knockout cup competition in English football, run by and named after The Football Association.
The other non-top flight winners of the FA Cup were Barnsley in 1912, Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1908, and Notts County in 1894, who were the first non-top flight team to win the FA Cup since the inception of the league.
Therefore, though the FA Cup is the oldest domestic football competition in the world, its trophy is not the oldest; that title is claimed by the Youdan Cup.

The Challenge Cup is a knockout competition for rugby league clubs in Europe.
The Challenge Cup final traditionally formed the end to the season, being played in late April or early May. The move to a summer season for rugby league in 1996 did not see the Challenge Cup moved, and it became instead essentially a pre-season tournament, with the final taking place early in the season.
It was changed to a Summer competition in 2005, with the first Summer Cup Final held on Saturday August 27 at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.

A special case of WSD task is the Gene Symbol Disambiguation (GSD) [7] task where the terms are gene names, the senses are genes referred by unique identifiers and the contexts are biological articles.
They used them to get manually disambiguated instances (training data) and applied a vector space model with cosine similarity measure between the abstracts in question and the gene profiles which were in fact the centroids of the training instances.
Precision is defined as the ratio of the correctly classified (disambiguated) test gene names and the number of total test examples for which the disambiguation method could make a decision, while coverage is defined as the ratio of test instances with a decision and the number of total test examples.

We address the special challenges faced due to ambiguity in gene nomenclature: gene terms that refer to multiple genes, gene terms that are also English words, and gene terms that have other biological meanings.
However, although a disambiguation strategy may correctly decide that a given ambiguous string represents a gene of interest, the document may still be non relevant.
The ranking goal is a challenging one given that in our dataset less than 7% of the retrieved documents are known to be relevant.

 Graph-based Disambiguation Framework (GDF) project.
That is why today organizations spend a tangible percent of their budgets on cleaning tasks such as removing duplicates, correcting errors, filling missing values, to improve data quality prior to pushing data through the analysis pipeline.
Our work focuses specifically on the disambiguation challenge that arises because objects in the real world are referred to using references or descriptions that are not always unique identifiers of the objects, leading to ambiguity.
We have proposed a novel methodology to disambiguation that relies upon the observation that many real-world datasets are relational in nature and contain not only information about entities but also relationships among them, knowledge of which can be used to disambiguate among representations more effectively.
