Chalmers: Computer science and information technology   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
Remarkably rapid development has placed computer science and information technology in the centre of almost every area of science, technology and society, and that is a trend that we can expect to continue with undiminished intensity.
One of Chalmers’ priority areas is reliable computer systems, which is also a recurrent theme of several of the Department’s research teams.
Computer security is also related to reliability, and in this field, too, the Department carries on research of international standard.

Chalmers: Computer Science and Engineering   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
The amazingly rapid developments that are taking place in the world today have put computer science and engineering very much in focus in virtually every area of science, engineering and society and this can be expected to continue with unremitting strength.
Another example is methodology for developing reliability in the complex computer systems that are built into, for example, aircraft.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is a key part of the IT University and plays an active role in what is a major undertaking at Lindholmen.
