CHAMMAN: One person was killed and another wounded as a powerful explosion ripped through a scrape godown early Monday morning, news agency INP reports quoting police.
The decease was identified as Mir Wahiz son of Jumma Khan and injured as Abdul Razaq son of Sayyed Noor.
The injured was immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital, Chamman where he was reported to be out of danger.

RAHIM YAR KHAN, Aug 6: A 70-foot wide breach occurred in Sadiq branch canal and small breaches in Taranda and Chamman minor canals early Sunday morning.
The breach occurred in the Sadiq branch canal at Chak 139/p near Manthar, almost 20km in the south-west of Rahim Yar Khan, which damaged cotton and sugarcane crops on hundred of acres.
Adjoining villages 138/p and 137/p were also affected owing to Taranda and Chamman minor canal breaches.

MANILA (Philippines): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said Monday it has approved about 187 million dollars in loans and grants to Pakistan for a road repair project that supports reconstruction in neighboring Afghanistan.
The project will improve and widen 247 kilometers (153 miles) of the national highway from Kalat to Quetta and between Quetta and Chamman, forming part of the Central Asia-Afghanistan-Pakistan transport corridor through Baluchistan.
A new cross-border facility into Afghanistan will be built at Chamman, an ADB statement said.
