David Provost, Champlain's vice president for finance and administration, said the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity would lease Champlain the three-story brick house on the corner of South Prospect and Maple streets for nine months under the agreement, which is expected to be finalized next week.
Champlain, a private college of 1,700 students in Burlington's Hill section, has become an increasingly residential campus since 1991, when it became a four-year school.

Tom Metzner advised (13 Oct 01) that, when Champlain closed in 1953, she transferred to the New York State College of Forestry at Syracuse University and that our records were to go with her; he has no idea happened after that.
That's wrong - Champlain was definitely ACUNY, not SUNY (see Note 1), at the time of her closing (I vas dere, Cholly!).
