		They called themselves Under Construction and did some dates around town (and Vallance changed his stage name to Rodney Higgs so that his friends and family wouldn't know he was playing in a pop group), then changed the name to Prism and went back in to the studio.
		Small had his own vision of where Prism should be headed and it didn't mesh with the rest of the band; within months of recording their 1981 album, 'Small Change', band members were leaving in droves.
		The band toured constantly on the west coast between 1988 and 1993, and finally released a new album in 1993 called Jericho.

		Orginally surfacing in 1979 during the burgeoning Toronto punk scene, the trio of Gibb, MacLean and Diclemente were known as The Suspects.
		Capitol had the band change names and groomed them with a new, Police-esque mystique for their eponymous 1980 debut.
		With the Canadian punk scene officially dead and the new wave scene firmly progressing into techno-pop, another Toronto act, Platinum Blonde (who WERE a Police tribute act originally) took their original musical original inspiration directly from the Deserters songbook to the point of actually nicking a few obvious riffs.

		Our high school doesn`t have marching bands I guess, but if they did, I`d have to do clarinet cause we own one and I played it 2 years ago, or flute or piccolo, but I don`t own either one.
