	Chaonia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Chaonia, Chaon, was the name of an ancient tribe located in modern-day Albania and Greece.
		It bordered on the Ionian sea, and was influenced by Corfu in antiquity.
		Virgil, in the Aeneid, (3, 295) called the area Chaonia after Chaon a brother of the Helenus and son of Priam.

		She was born at home in Chaonia, Missouri, the first of three children of James Thomas (Tom) and Lucy Vashti (known as Vashti) (nee Inman) Hoffman Robinson.
		She had a half sister, Beatrice, who was 13 years her senior who lived in the home while Dorothy was growing up.
		She married Robert Virgil Moore approximately two years later at her home in Chaonia, on June 2, 1930.

	Dexter Daily Statesman: Story: Edna M. Hamlyn
		Edna M. Hamlyn, the daughter of the late Elza and Ruby Davis Caldwell, was born in Chaonia on July 27, 1928, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at the age of 75.
		Hamlyn had lived in Cahokia, Ill., for several years before moving to Puxico in 1964.
