		Chapel Island is a limestone outcrop that lies in the Leven estuary of Morecambe Bay in England, less than one mile (1.6 km) from the shoreline at Bardsea in the area known as Ulverston Sands.
		It is one of the Islands of Furness in the administrative county of Cumbria, in the area of the historic county of Lancashire north of the sands.
		The island lies on the oversands route between Ulverston and Lancaster.

		The chapel existed in the records of the Baltimore Conference Methodist Society from 1827 until 1842 when it was replaced by Island Creek Church.
		In 1842 the name Ireland or Island Creek Chapel was deleted from the records of the Baltimore Conference and the name Island Creek Church appeared.
