BRIEF HISTORY of C.A.O.S. Chapeltown and District Amateur Operatic Society's (CAOS) first production was "Highwayman Love", that was presented at the Chapeltown Picture Palace on Station Road, Chapeltown in 1924.
This was The Newton Memorial Hall, Chapeltown and interestingly this was only a few yards away from the Picture Palace.
As well as one major musical each year the society has also produced 'mini' shows in local halls and theatres to raise much needed cash to cover the ever-increasing cost of staging their main show.

4.3.1       The trees can be seen from various locations, namely Sussex Road, between the houses on Lound Side, Asda car park and most prominently from the access footway that leads to the north bound platform of Chapeltown station.
