The Singapore noodles (£5.50) and char kway teow (£5.50) were pretty close to the real mc coy.
If I told you that one of the best Char Kway Teow’s I’ve had in London was in Selfridge’s – well, you would probably throw me in the darkest dungeon and throw away the key.

My preference would be fried without the egg cos when egg is added, the temperature of the noodles drops and i like the noodles to be piping hot and with 'sung hum(uncooked cockles).
Stir-fry the kway teow and add seasoning and sprinkle with a little water to mix.

must try his Penang Kuay Teow Soup too, very nice IMHO but when he was there, only sell this dish on Sundays so seldome get a chance to eat.
My wife just ate less than half and I have to finish the whole dish (when this happens, it usually means that my wife hates the dish and I have to be the one who finish it).
