	FullMetal Alchemist Characters - EWS Anime
		He is known for being the youngest State Alchemist.
		For most of the series his soul is trapped in a large suit of armor, causing other characters throughout the series to confuse Al for the "Fullmetal" Alchemist.
		In the anime, Envy is clearly referred to as a male, but in the manga, Envy is known as an "it".

		Fullmetal Alchemist is one of those series that has had a lot of hype surrounding it for quite a while now, and somewhere down the line the producers must have done something right.
		There is also a certain love given to the characters, each one as different and as interesting as the last one, and none of them are wasted presences (a problem common in most anime of this length).
		The characters are properly developed according to their importance, and many of the nicely rounded personalities allow them to be involved in a multitude of situations without feeling forced.

		A section of character profiles, with a lot of them included for this first set, are a bit better than some past attempts as there is more detail to be had for various characters, but I'm still always leery of reading these for potential spoilers that I should be hearing from within the show.
		The first four episodes do things in a fairly standard way, dealing with the characters at their present age for a couple of episodes before shuttling to their past to start the full tale from there and work its way forward again until things catch up, which presumably it'll do sometime later in the series.
		Providing a good engaging story, interesting characters and a good sense of style with the character designs and world setting, this is a series where you're glad early on that it's as long as it is so that you can enjoy it for quite some time to come.
