  Spielplatz - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Spielplatz (German for playground) is believed to be the UK's oldest naturist club, and consists of 12 acres (5 hectares) (49,000 m²) located in the village of Bricket Wood, in the county of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
Spielplatz was founded in 1929 by Charles Macaskie and his wife Dorothy.
They moved from London into a tent on an area of virgin woodland they purchased near Bricket Wood.

In 1927 ownership changed again when the Macaskie family, who owned papers in London, bought The Hereford Times and, five years later, bought and absorbed the Hereford Journal for under £1,000.
After Mr Macaskie died in 1963, the paper was acquired by Berrows, bringing it into ownership of a major group for the first time - Rupert Murdoch's News International owned Berrows.
A pioneering journalist who established The Hereford Times in 1832, Charles Anthony was also an ardent and unflinching reformer who set himself the herculean task of making the city a fit place to live.

Photographic identification of individual animals began after studying the picture of an orcas mutilated dorsal fin.
Michael Bigg and Ian MacAskie began a detailed study of orca in Johnstone Strait, discovering differences in the pigmentation of the white saddle and scars, scratches and nicks on the dorsal fins which were used to identify each individual.

A highlight of this year’s series is a performance on June 26 by the great Jazz trombonist Bill Watrous who’ll be leading a quartet with pianist Stu MacAskie, bassist Milo Jaramilo and drummer John Trentacosta.
