Coghlan joins Visa after having served 17 years at Charles Schwab and Company, where he demonstrated strong leadership skills, sales management expertise, an understanding of the critical role that technology and innovation play in driving growth for financial services, and a keen appreciation for the importance of brand-building.
At Schwab, Coghlan was a member of the Executive Committee of The Charles Schwab Corporation, as well as president of the Board of Directors of The Charles Schwab Trust Company, a subsidiary of The Charles Schwab Corporation.
Coghlan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, with honors in social thought from Stanford University, a Master of Arts degree in economics and public policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

 United Federal Party - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The United Federal Party, also known as the United Party and the United Rhodesia Party, was one of Southern Rhodesia's most successful political parties, and governed the country (known since 1980 as Zimbabwe) for over 30 years.
The party was formed as the United Party (UP) in 1934, under the leadership of Godfrey Huggins, when the ruling Reform Party merged with the Rhodesian Party (formed by Charles Coghlan in 1923).
The UP had a clear majority at every election between 1934 and 1958 except 1946, when Huggins still managed to remain as Prime Minister.

John Frederick Stanton was born on 27 July 1875 at De Pere, Brown County, Wisconsin.
John's Aunt Nellie, the wife of John R. James, an engineer for the Mineral Range Railroad (MRRR), moved to the Copper County in the 1890s and was living at Calumet around 1900.
John had traveled roughly 580 miles from Houghton to join the army, but this was not to be the end of his trek.
