Much of the literature about Japanese Americans in World War II makes it seems as if most of the twenty-five thousand Japanese Americans who served in the military came from the camps.

The electrical strike threat was disposed of with an agreement whereby: 1) electrical workers regained two 10% wage cuts made in 1932; 2) the union was recognized and 3) union members were given preference for employment.
Taft cracked his harder nut, the Auto-Lite strike.
