Charles Darwin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Charles Robert Darwin (February 12, 1809–April 19, 1882) was a British naturalist who achieved lasting fame as the originator of the theory of evolution through natural selection.
Several of their children suffered illness or weaknesses, and Charles Darwin's fear that this might be due to the closeness of his and Emma’s lineage was expressed in his writings on the ill effects of inbreeding and advantages of crossing.
Charles Darwin, now an established geologist, was forced into early publication of his theory of natural selection.
