The Charles S. Roberts Awards are presented annually for excellence in the historical wargaming hobby.
Charles S. Roberts, in whose name this award is given, invented the modern wargame industry almost single-handedly.
They were the first commercial board wargames and Charles Roberts was responsible for their creation, including many of the developments, such as the Combat Results Table (CRT), that were later to become commonplace.

VIERA -- A jury awarded $900,000 in damages to the family of a 29-year-old man Thursday after finding the Brevard County Sheriff's Office negligent in its handling of a road chase.
The award was handed down after five hours of deliberations by a six-member jury at the Moore Justice Center.
The award, if not reversed by an appeal, would be paid through a liability insurance fund for the Sheriff's Office.

 CHBA History
Robert L. Harris, after serving as CHBA President, went on to become the first National Bar Association President from west of the Mississippi River and the youngest president in that organization's history.
The success of the Charles Houston Bar is due to the leadership of the association’s past presidents and the hundreds of board members and committee chairpersons who, over the years, have volunteered much of their precious time and energy to realize the organization's benevolent goals.
April 22nd of that year, the anniversary of Charles Hamilton Houston's death, was declared "Charles Houston Bar Association Day" by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in honor of the association's significance to the community.

 The Livingston Awards: 2005 Winners
Charles Gibson of ABC News, Jill Abramson of The New York Times and Christiane Amanpour of CNN International announced the winners of the $10,000 Livingston Awards for Young Journalists in local, national and international reporting.
The prizes are limited to journalists under the age of 35 and are the largest all-media, general-reporting prizes in the country.
In 1972 Roberts became the executive editor of The Philadelphia Inquirer, and in the subsequent 18 years led that newspaper to national prominence and its staff to 17 Pulitzer Prizes.

Because from the dates of the orders it looks like an order was issued on 9/04 awarding custody to the Amherst County Department of Social Services (who had never petitioned for custody) and then on 9/05 that had been reversed and Charles and Shelby Roberts had been awarded custody.
Therefore, when Charles Roberts kidnapped Shamema Honzagool Sloan on October 7-9, 1990 in the United Arab Emirates and brought her to Virginia, he did not even have custody in Virginia, much less in New York or Abu Dhabi.
