 Charles the Simple
Charles III, King of France, called Charles the Simple, was a posthumous son of Louis the Stammerer and of his second wife Adelaide.
On the deposition of Charles the Fat in 887 he was excluded from the throne by his youth; but during the reign of King Odo, who had succeeded Charles, he succeeded in gaining the recognition of a certain number of notables and in securing his coronation at Reims on the 28th of January 893.
The same year Charles, on the invitation of the barons, jealous of the growth of the royal authority and discontented with the favor shown by the king to his counsellor Hagano, rebelled, and in 922 elected Robert I, brother of King Odo, in place of Charles.

Fat Albert Movie Review at Hollywood Video
Sadly, Fat Albert, the movie, is not that clever, instead becoming a fish-out-of-water Austin Powers / The Brady Bunch Movie gag in which Albert (played with incredibly accuracy by SNL's Kenan Thompson) and the rest of his junkyard gang wander North Philadelphia as relics of a funkier, squarer time.
The short-circuit results in Fat Albert (Kenan Thompson, in a lumpy fat suit) and the rest of the '70s toon-crew diving (or squeezing) through the TV screen and into Doris' living room, where Albert is determined (in typical Albert fashion) to help Doris with her social problems.
Fat Albert, with its affable main character and a decent, wholesome message at its core, might hold the interest of your young 'uns (thankfully, there are no poo-poo jokes or sexual innuendoes to be found).

Charles III or Charles the Fat, 839–88, emperor of the West (881–87), king of the East Franks (882–87), and king of the West Franks (884–87); son of Louis the German, at whose death he inherited Swabia (876).
After the death of the heirs of Charles II in France, he became (884) West Frankish king, thus reuniting briefly the empire of Charlemagne.
A weak ruler, he was unable to protect his lands from invasion and in 886, when he went to relieve Paris, which was besieged by the Norsemen, he ransomed the city instead of fighting and allowed the invaders to ravage Burgundy.

Fat people, to Dr. Bruch (5 ft. 8 in., 145 lbs.), are not the placid and jolly folks they are generally reputed.
The only really effective cure for fatness, Dr. Bruch believes, is not in exercise or diets (although the "pure mechanical reducing," now popular in the reducing academies, is sometimes surprisingly successful, but only when the students have enough emotional control of themselves to go through with the course).
Fatness, she says, is a psychosomatic condition; the blubbery patient belongs not in the gym, but in a psychiatrist's office.
