Charley Pollard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Charley was born on April 15, 1912, the day the Titanic sank, and first appeared in the play Storm Warning (2001).
The Doctor was very fond of Charley, and admitted later that she was his friend and he loved her, but what that meant for a virtually immortal Time Lord was unclear, as the relationship between the two was not a physical one.
According to history, Charley was supposed to die in the R101 crash and the Doctor's rescue of her caused a temporal paradox.

Charley recognises the trappings of a classic Agatha Christie mystery, and is disappointed that she and the Doctor haven’t been cast as amateur sleuths.
Charley was the only one who ever showed Edith any kindness in her life; everyone always told her she was nothing and nobody, even the chauffeur who seduced her in 1926 and then pretended that it had never happened.
Charley forces Shaughnessy to compliment Edith on her work as well, and tells Edith to be proud of who she is. As she and the Doctor return to the TARDIS, however, Charley realises that she can still remember dying on the R101.

Charley explains to her companions that they are not the people they believe themselves to be, but recreations constructed from Zagreus’ memories and given the forms of the Doctor’s former incarnations.

Charley Chase was an incredibly prolific star comedian of the 1920s and 1930s, producing hundreds of short comedies in both the silent and the sound eras.
Three short comedies Charley Chase made during the beginning of his film career, one that he acted in and two that he had directed, have recently been uncovered.
The only way to convince Hallmark to release the Chase comedies on DVD is if they see that there is a demand for them...so what I suggest is that everyone (and that means EVERYONE) who is at all interested in getting Chase on DVD contact Hallmark through their contact form off of their website.
