Charles Randolph "Charlie" Korsmo (born July 20, 1978) is an American who appeared as a child actor in several movies in 1990–1991, but now primarily works outside of the acting sphere.
He was born in Fargo, North Dakota and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Korsmo attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he obtained a degree in physics in 2000.

Let me begin this with, I been a huge Charlie fan since 1999 when I saw him in Can't Hardly Wait, and then I took the time to rent Hook, and What about Bob?, which turned out to be hilarious movies.
Charlie has been one of my favorite actors for a long long time.
So, Charlie goes to get a beer, and I sorta follow him, but I was going to go back to where we'd been sitting, but I didnt feel like it in the end.

When he chose to stop acting, a number of of the roles that he turned down went to Elijah Wood.
After completing _Hook_ at the age of thirteen, Charlie made the decision to actively stop acting as he craved a normal life away from fame and Hollywood pressures.

The child talent is always a risky business, but if you accept that the kids are not going to be the best actors in the world, you realize that most of them do the script justice, whether they know they are or not.
Charlie Korsmo, along with Dante Basco, are clearly the most talented, carrying their scenes with Williams and Hoffman very well.
John Williams score is as wonderful as it ever was (you can hear some of the framework for the Harry Potter music in this particular score)...

The most engagingly real and entertaining characters are the misfits who show up in the subplots, including a geek (Charlie Korsmo) who turns into the life of the party, and a pair of old friends (Seth Green, Lauren Ambrose) who confront each other about their mutual needs and insecurities.
She was rated as the new Jeannine Garafalo, unfortunate she didn't do much after this as she was a better actress than Jeannine.
As well as the underrated Charlie Korsmo, playing the uber nerd of the class.

As a child, Charlie Korsmo made an auspicious start as an actor, playing Jessica Lange's troubled younger son in the drama "Men Don't Leave" (1990).
Later that year, he was well-cast as the precocious street urchin known simply as 'The Kid' in Warren Beatty's big-budget "Dick Tracy".
In 1991, Korsmo appeared as the offspring of leading actors in films of varying quality: Richard Dreyfuss' death-obsessed son in "What About Bob?"; William Hurt's offspring kid in "The Doctor"; and Robin Williams' child who falls under the sway of Dustin Hoffman's "Hook"....
