Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator was first published in the United States by Alfred A. Knopf, Inc. in 1972, and in the UK by George Allen and Unwin in 1973.
Charlie's grandparents -- George and Georgina on his father's side, and Josephine on his mother's (Grandpa Joe is already with Charlie in the Great Glass Elevator) -- are nervous about going inside the travelling elevator, and after twenty years in bed, refuse to get up.

Charlie and the great glass elevator is a book for all ages.
Charlie and the gretat glass elevator is a continue of charlie and the chocolate factory.
After having read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory together with my six year old daughter she absolutely wanted to hear more about Charlie and the fantastic factory he got from Willy Wonka.

The Great Glass Elevator can not be compared to the first book though, and is probably written for kids much older than my daughter.

The book Charlie and the Great Glass Elavator is a very good book and I liked it I wouldn't recommend it to elder people.
I think Charlie and the chocolate factory was great, but The great glass elavator was even better.
I think Charlie and the Great Glass Elavator was a very neat story they had a lot of fictional parts in this story but it was really funny which is why I'm basing my humerous book report on it.
