In this study, I examine the regional considerations for the development of forest certification in Charlotte County, New Brunswick.
I found that (a) certification would likely be accepted by the County given that appropriate educational material is provided, and (b) the implementation of forest certification will require the development of relevant infrastructure within the County.
Based on the results obtained, I present proposals relevant to the two issues identified: one for educational material to be given to the County by the Forest Stewardship Council, and one for initiatives to be taken by the County to ensure the greatest possible benefit from forest certification.

 Summary of Citation
The Oak Bay formation is the lowest formation of the Silurian succession of the Mascarene group in New Brunswick, Canada.
Unit is exposed along St. Croix River, southeast of Calais, ME. Near Calais, the Oak Bay is a steeply dipping metamorphosed conglomerate composed of well-rounded pebbles and cobbles in a schistose matrix and is 320 to 1300 feet thick.
It overlies dark argillite division of the Charlotte Group and is considered of Middle Silurian age.
