	Pakistan Times \| Top Story: Flood plays havoc in Charsadda, Nowshera in NW Pakistan
		CHARSADDA: High flood in the Kabul and Sw at rivers have washed away dozens of houses, damaged standing crops and killed cattle in several riverside villages of Charsadda and Nowshera districts besides forcing the closure of main Peshawar-Charsadda road for all kind of traffic.
		On the directives of DCO Charsadda, relief goods including tents and food items have been supplied to Biar Garhi, Sarmung, Karhma and Sewlai villages in Tangi tehsil where hundreds of houses and standing crops were inundated while dozens of cattle were swept away by the flood waters.
		On the other hand residents of Charsadda district were facing great difficulties due to the blockade of Peshawar-Charsadda road for the last two days and they have been paying high fares to reach Peshawar via Nowshera and Mardan.

		CHARSADDA, June 12: Farmers of Charsadda district have demanded of the government that like many other districts of the province, Charsadda too should be declared a calamity-hit district, as the farmers had suffered losses due to the long dry spell.
		The farmers of Charsadda, like other districts of the province, have formed the Farm Service Centre (FSC) in the district to protect the rights of the farmers.

	Babra Sharif massacre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Babra Sharif massacre occurred in 1948, Charsadda district of Pakistan, when unarmed workers of the Khudai Khidmatgar movements were fired upon by the provincial government of North-West Frontier province on the orders of the then Chief Minister Khan Abdul Qayyum Khan.
		In July 1948, the provincial governor of NWFP promulgated an ordinance which authorized the government of detaining any one indefinitely and confiscating their properties without disclosing any reason to the detainee.
		On 12 August 1948, The march was announced ahead of time in the major newspapers, all participants were told to congregate at Charsadda empty handed and to peacefully march to the Babra grounds.
