As charvas are stereotypically seen as being poor and unintelligent it is also likely that it occured through influence from the poor ghettos in America, where youths are often promoted as being involved with drugs, alcohol and guncrimes from a young age, or simply from community spirit within difficult and lower class council estates.

Charvae are distinct in physicality even when naked, because of their lank, gaunt, slight appearance and the look of borrowed flesh, hanging slightly loose from their bones due to their peculiar dietary habits, which lead to acute malnourishment.
Charvae posture while clothed is still conspicuous and features numerous defects - bandy legs, bent backs and an ugly asymmetric swagger when in motion, due to one hand of the male being down their shell-suit bottoms and the hands of the female constantly pulling theirs up.

I’ve been engaging in a discussion recently in another forum ‘The Student Room’ (which is UK based) over the subject of a stereotype group known as ‘Chavs’ or ‘Charvas’.
They appear to have emerged relatively recently as a culturally distinct social group, characterised by a low-income, poorly educated urban existence along with some distinctive but relatively uniform tastes in clothing and jewellery.
I was wondering if there is any parallel in the urban US — Charvas are a nationwide phenomena here in the UK it seems.
