I actually wound up going twice to Versailles because it is apparently closed on Monday (very small lines then!) but it was ok because I visited the gardens on Monday and the palace on Tuesday.
This is the room where the Treaty of Versailles was signed that ended World War I. Apparently when it was built mirrors were actually really hard to make, so even though it isn't impressive now at the time it was amazing.
