The flag of Cheatham County, Tennessee, adopted in 1996, and designed by me. The 16 stars represent Tennessee's position as the 16th member of the American Union.
The contest was completed in June 1995 and submitted to the Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association members who picked the best ten entries for submission to a panel of artists from Austin Peay University to judge the best of the lot.
The membership of the historical Association then picked the one considered most desirable and submitted it to the County Commission in July 1995 where it was adopted as the Flag of Cheatham County, Tennessee.
