The contemplative trance of dj Cheb i Sabbah's "Pour Matoub," echoes the tender sadness at the heart of North Africa, and "Layoun Lokdhor," from Toires' recent masterpiece of Moroccan electronica, Sanati, is the turbulent bridge to Natacha Atlas' "Soleil d'Egypte," a swaying, hypnotic lament.
