Cheetahmen II - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cheetahmen II was a video game produced by Active Enterprises as a sequel to one of the many games on its multi-game cartridge Action 52.
In Cheetahmen II one assumes the role of one of the three Cheetahmen.
Cheetahmen II is famous for its lack of quality; it is reputed by many in the gaming community to be nearly unplayable.

ClassicGaming - The Museum: NES FAQ
The Japanese SMB 2 started of where SMB left and the americans dident think that this was a game worth to be released in the rest of the world and therefore Nintendo quickly bought a japanese platform game called Doki Doki Panic and reprogrammed it a little bit.
The Cheetahmen is a six level, action/adventure with characters that will also star in their own seperate NES cartridge (More about Cheetahmen 2 later) and possibly in a syndicated cartoon show.
Cheetahmen 2 was a follow up on one of the game on the Action52.

It is up to the Cheetahmen to make their way to Dr. Morbis' secret (and heavily guarded) laboratory to battle Dr. Morbis and his sub-humans (including the new, powerful ape-man).
The second is CheetahMen II which is the sequel to one of the games included in Action 52.
The cartridges for CheetahMen II were leftover from Action 52 and still have the Action 52 labels on them.

Cheetahmen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Based on the then-popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Cheetahmen were three humanoid cheetahs, each wielding a different weapon and/or skill.
The NES version of the game had an intro sequence that told a story as well, where a boy called the Action Gamemaster is at home playing a video game (presumably Action 52) when a robotic arm reaches through the screen and pulls him into the game.

About Active Enterprises   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
The company only released two carts (Action 52 for NES and Genesis, and the unreleased Cheetahmen 2 for NES), and they both look and play like they were made in 10 minutes by someone on acid while coding (and not really good acid like Jeff Minter shoots up or something).
I've heard that most of their remaining stock was either shipped off to Europe to be sold for cheap, or fell into the hands of liquidators.
Until recently, Action 52 was thought to be the only Active release until copies of Cheetahmen 2, a "sequel" to one of the games on Action 52 that's not any better than its predecessor, started turning up.

They probably thought they had trapped lightning in a bottle with this idea until they realized that the 5 young children from Guam they hired to program the game had faked their resumes and were not really graduates of MIT.
Anyway, somewhere along the line the Cheetahmen realized that Morbis was an evil bastard and they turned on him.

 Cheetahmen 2 - Retrogaming Roundtable
Cheetahmen II is probably (by comparison) the easiest NES game to find sealed.
This is because they were origionally all found sealed and a private collector sold them all off to other collectors.
Coleman, Cheatahmen 2 is worth a nice bit of cash, if you want to sell it, I suggest slapping it up on the Buy / Sell forum with a reasonable price tag.
