Cheltenham joined the Southern League in 1935 and won promotion to the Alliance Premier League (now the Conference National) in 1985, but were relegated seven years later.
Cheltenham Town F.C. also grabbed some spotlight when their matchday programme was voted best in League 1 and in the top 10 in England.
