In the township the population was spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 18.6% who were 65 years of age or older.

The damage is beginning to challenge the historic integrity of the house that is invaluable to Pennsylvania history.

As the dependence upon the mills dwindled and the growth of the Township continued to grow, the areas, largely wooded, that were around the creek slowly disappeared.

The Township's commitment was such that it obligated general revenues to hire a consultant team led by Carter van Dyke Associates (CVDA), planners and landscape architects, together with Urban Partners (economic planners), Gannett Fleming (transportation planners) and Runyan and Associates (architects).
Now, the Township, Montgomery County and SEPTA are each chipping in to a $45,000 feasibility assessment to determine the actual size, operation, retail mix and management, and funding for the facility, with the intention of pursuing federal dollars.

Cheltenham Township, Pennsylvania, carried this to the lengths of insisting on the required parking spaces, refusing to count leased spaces off-site, and then, when synagogue offered to construct the parking spaces and let them sit empty, denying the permit on the ground that cars for that much parking would aggravate traffic problems.
In a pending Michigan case, the township denied a permit to a fl church, despite the contrary recommendation of the township's independent land-use consultant, and even though the township had approved five white churches that had drawn similar objections from neighbors.
The township carried its burden with a vague slogan; the church was required to offer a detailed expert study.

Bason testified that he doubted Fasold's thoroughness because after the suspect was arraigned and released, he was able to empty three safe deposit boxes that might have been located and seized by the officers if an extensive inventory had been conducted at the time of the arrest.
