Chenies Street Chambers is on the north side of Chenies Street, adjoining a small building which adjoins 11 Fitzroy House on its south-west side, with North Crescent (originally built in 1798) to the west.
Chenies Street Chambers is across the street from RADA (18 Chenies Street) and The Drill Hall Arts Centre (16 Chenies Street).
Chenies Street Chambers Ladies Residential Dwellings was the project of a small circle of practical socialists, professional women and suffragettes who lived in Bloomsbury in the 1880's.

 The Russell School - John Russell
John Russell was the 1st Earl of Bedford and former resident of Chenies Manor.
In 1526 when Sir John Russell was 40, he married Anne Sapcote the daughter of Sir Guy Sapcote of Huntingdonshire, and lived at the Manor of Chenies which his wife had inherited through her father from the last of the Cheyne family.
The Chenies estates continued to belong to the Bedford family until the present Duke had to sell them in 1954, to help pay the 4 and a half million death duties which were levied when his father the twelfth Duke died the previous year.

War memorials in Chenies have been transcribed by Peter Quick and published by the Buckinghamshire Genealogical Society.
The name Chenies derives from the family of Cheyne, who were from at least 1232 associated with the parish.

It is unclear when Chenies came became operational but in 1954 '163 Signals Unit, Chenies' replaced the Fighter Command Control Unit at Heathrow, It is clear the station was not completely ready at this time as a temporary Type B operations hut was required for the AN/FPS3 radar.
The ROTOR station at Chenies was however short lived closing as a radar station prior to 'The 1958 Plan', the successor to the Rotor Plan.

Chenies is only one of several great Tudor houses visited by Henry VIII at which Time Team has carried out excavations.
In the 2001 series, for example, the team was invited by the owners of the modern Rycote Park, in Oxfordshire, to try to find the remains of the grand country house where Henry spent his honeymoon with his fifth wife, Katherine Howard.
Although no signs of former monastic buildings were found by Time Team at Chenies, Mick Aston believes it is possible that there may have been a monastery on the site prior to Henry's reign.

There were a total of 14 Little Egrets along the River Chess between Chesham and Chenies.
These seven birds were at Chenies on 3rd March 2002 and represented a record count for Buckinghamshire at the time.

Cllr Davida Allen (Amersham Town) said the last thing anyone wanted was to have a new name involving Chenies as it would remind people of Chenies Tower on Whielden Road, the gloomy, unpopular hospital building.
Chenies Tower is due for demolition as soon as planning permission is given to redevelop the site.
