She is said to be the one who changed the spelling of the Château (from Chenonceaux to Chenonceau) to please the villagers during the (The revolution in France against the Bourbons; 1789-1799) French Revolution.
Other than the Royal (A palace built in the 17th century for Louis XIV southwest of Paris near the city of Versailles) Palace of Versailles, Chenonceau is the most visited chateau in France.

Chenonceau, Blois, Chambord and Cheverny are all east of Amboise.
It was fascinating to me to think that during WWII it was a hospital ward and at one point the north end was German controlled and the south end was not.
Chenonceau is interestingly built spanning the Cher River, I believe and the story of the king and his wife and mistress is intriguing, as are the concept of the gardens (the most beautiful gardens being for his mistress, of course).
