The studio made the gradual progression from four to 24 tracks, and the Robbs made the gradual progression into producing and engineering for other artists, beginning with their old friend Del Shannon, who lived nearby and whose single “What's the Matter Baby” became the first non-Robb recording made at the studio.
A dialog began between Cherokee and Trident, and at the end of '75, the Robbs took possession of the first Trident A-Range desks to hit America.
Studio 2 was completely redesigned, from the ground up, by George Augspurger for 5.1 surround capability and now features an SSL 4096 G Plus console.

Cherokee history is interesting and important, but the Cherokee are still here today, too, and we try to feature modern writers as well as traditional folklore, contemporary artwork as well as archaeology exhibits, and the issues and struggles of today as well as the tragedies of yesterday.
There are three federally recognized Cherokee tribes, the Cherokee Nation and the Keetoowah Band in Oklahoma and the Eastern Band of Cherokees in North Carolina.
As a Cherokee man, that is a difficult situation for me. Some of these groups have state recognition, or they are Cherokees fighting for land in our traditional territories, or they are Cherokee communities who have moved to other places in the country.

So again I researched some studios, sent them some resumes and got offered 3 jobs in LA, so I moved there and became chief engineer at Cherokee studios in Hollywood for 5 years, made a lot of albums and worked with a lot of cool and talented people.
I would say more than half of what is important is people management, figuring out the psyche of a band in order to be able to make them comfortable and feel unrestricted and relaxed within a creative environment, allowing them to perform to the best of their abilities.

There were two studio versions of this unreleased original song recorded.

We began working with the Robb Brothers at Cherokee Studios, and five or so weeks later produced a score combining live instruments with electronic synthesizers.
Bruce Robb guided our compositions, moulded them, shaped them, and when they came out of the speakers they were transformed into one of the most full, most romantic scores I’ve ever done.
