Titans #30 Review - Silver Bullet Comics
Publisher: DC With Cheshire on trial for the detonation of a nuclear warhead that wiped out millions of people, we see that she may not live to see her sentencing, as the prison where she is being held is also home to Cheshire's former partners, who still remember that she stranded them in the past.
However, Cheshire backs down from her threat, and is taken back into custody, but her actions were enough to convince Roy that his feelings of love for Cheshire are going to have to emain under wraps, as Cheshire belongs in jail.
The final fate of Cheshire is apparently something Titans fans should be interested in as Jay Faerber has devoted entire issues to attacks against her, but thankfully this issue at least seems to put most of it to bed, as she is given a life sentence.

So the moon was like the smile of the Cheshire Cat, and somehow related to this other dimension so there’s a lot of that symbolism and her sickles are shaped like the crescent moon.
That was the Cheshire cat symbolism in that story and in a way that sort morphed as she’s come to a certain place with her mother situation and now there’s this Akemi character who is sort of another Cheshire Cat symbol with a smile from another dimension.
SM: In issue #4 of The Alchemy you tell the story of your mother, how she encouraged you artistically as a child, and mention at the end of the comic that this is a small part of a larger, autobiographical comic you have planned.

Birds Of Prey #63 Review - Silver Bullet Comics
As Dinah and Lady Shiva close in on the hired assassin Cheshire whom they believe responsible for their sensei's murder, we see after a brief battle, the two are able to get Cheshire under control, and they soon learn that this battle was a set up.
The battle between Cheshire and the Black Canary is a bit of a write off as it's clearly more interested in offering up sexy poses and a funny punchline at the end of the fight than in delivering an exciting contest between two skilled combatants.
I realize that most comics are guilty of this as Avengers just offered up an arc where She-Hulk fought an entire battle in her underwear, and over in Incredible Hulk Bruce Jones seems be of the mind that no issue is complete without a scene where one of his female characters sheds her clothing.

NEWSARAMA.COM: INSIDE THE WORLD OF HATTER M
Comic book fans will get a special treat, as Beddor teams with artist Ben Templesmith to bridge the gap between The Looking Glass Wars and the second part of the proposed trilogy with The Looking Glass Wars: Hatter M, from Desperado and Image Comics.
Also, by doing Hatter M as a comic book series I am able to connect to and expand upon the universe of The Looking Glass Wars as it was introduced in Book 1 and as it will continue in Books 2 and 3.
Collaborating with artists in such a graphic, expressive medium is a whole new world for me.  Getting to meet the fans at the different comic cons has been fantastic.  Their enthusiasm, knowledge and loyalty is amazing.  I hope that Hatter M is something that they will feel deserves their attention.

I commented that if a store stocks lots of independents, it generally will also have a large mainstream inventory; this is the exception that proves that rule.
This is one of the most complete comic book stores I have ever seen (granted, I've got a lot of the ground left to cover).
The store itself is nice enough, and they do stock a pretty wide selection of current comics, but the back-stock, while fairly large, was mostly superhero oriented (in fact, a sign indicated "Top 150 titles back issues", which would, I imagine, preclude most independents).

One of the problems with the massive amount of pundit-style writing that's been done about Tokyopop taking certain comics exclusively to their own on-line store is that 1) no one outside the loop really knows what Tokyopop is up to, and 2) there's no guarantee that Tokyopop does, either.
