The cheeses were tasty, but I wouldn’t choose the Royal George cheddar over the cheaper, domestic Tillamook, and I wouldn’t go out of my way for the other, orangier varieties.

Since we keep chalav yisrael, finding really good cheese is difficult.
I enjoyed it, but really wonder what “sharp” cheddar actually takes like, as I have yet to find any that are even kosher, let along chalav yisroel.
It does taste differently than the usual Haolam cheeses, and is pleasant, IMHO.

Nor can I eat cheeses that are overly "goaty", though I do like a variety of goat's and part goat's milk cheeses.
Yesterday we had Doddington and Chevington cheeses (both from Northumberland), along with some Manchego to take us back to our Spanish holidays and an old classic in Colston Bassett Stilton.
The Chevington was a bit like a young Brie meets Edam, semi-soft with a creamy texture that would go nicely with Celery and crudities.
