| | MacGamer - Get In The Game |
 | | Chex Quest is to the Mac gaming industry what a B-Movie is to a Hollywood blockbuster; back at the time, it probably seemed like a good way to cash in on the whole new computer gaming market thing, and was consequently released in all seriousness. |
 | | On the plus side, Chex Quest is based off the Doom engine, so the Mac OS X port is consequently based on the DoomLegacy engine, which allows for native OSX execution, improved rendering and higher resolutions, network play (though Chex Quest doesn't seem to support multiplayer in any of the maps), and even mouse control. |
 | | Chex Quest is indeed a fun game in it's own right, especially for the little kiddies who aren't allowed to own punk lamers all over Q3DM7; Chex Quest is completely clean of anything resembling blood, violence, and (unfortunately) for the most part suspense, so it's a safe diversion for the younger ones. |
