Physical Chi Quong develops the human body’s channels of chi, which are arranged in a configuration called the “meridian system.” Diagrammed, the human meridian system resembles the circulatory system, as it is comprised of pathways that roughly follow the arteries and veins throughout the body.
Chi Quong’s positions must be exact, for even a slightest change in the angle of hands or feet, for example, can dramatically affect chi’s flow along the various meridian channels.
In essence, the Taoist is a conductor of chi between the heavens (cosmic chi) and earth (grounded, organic chi).
