Jones v. Chicago HMO Ltd., No. 86830
Chicago HMO argues that Jones' claim of institutional negligence cannot proceed because she failed to provide sufficient evidence delineating the standard of care required of an HMO in these circumstances.
Chicago HMO also submits that Jones' claim of patient overload must fail because there is no evidence of a causal connection between the number of patients that Dr. Jordan was serving and his failure to schedule an appointment to see Shawndale.
Chicago HMO is therefore entitled to summary judgment with respect to this portion of Jones' claim of institutional negligence.
