Skyway Concession Co., the toll road's private operator, will announce this week that 11 viaducts over local streets and more than half of the 7.8-mile Skyway will be resurfaced, chief executive officer Fernando Redondo told the Chicago Tribune for a report published Monday.
The Chicago Skyway, which connects to the Indiana Toll Road, was under repair for three years until November 2004, when Chicago officials announced the work was complete.

Four of the largest and most complex viaducts along the Skyway were rebuilt as part of the city's project, but many of the smaller viaducts that were not part of the project still need to be repaired.
CDOT is working with the new Skyway authorities by sharing the traffic strategies used during the first part of construction, with hopes of easing the pain of thousands of motorists.
