One of the first outstanding players to emerge from a farm system, Hafey tried out with the NL's St. Louis Cardinals as a pitcher in 1923 but was moved to the outfield and sent to the minor leagues to learn the position.

I only found one guy, Chick Hafey, who I think is clearly not worthy amount LFers.
I read alot of Jim O'Rouke bashing on various threads, but he seems pretty solid to me. Not one of the all time greats, but of the guys who are in for being good a long time he is one of the longest.
As for Chick Hafey...I am one of the rare individuals who feel he should belong based on his short career, he was one of the best...his poor health, contract disputes and finally night games mixed with his night blindness did him in...but he was still great...maybe garnered sympathy votes, but he isn't a terrible choice
