  Chicken Little Movie Review
But seriously, Chicken Little is Disney's first solo stab at a CGI kiddie flick, something that was going to happen sooner or later and which, given Disney's recent track record in animation, has had most moviegoers scared silly.
In the 2005 version, Chicken Little (voiced by an unrecognizable Zach Braff) is a runt of a kid, the son of a widower father (Garry Marshall) who's beloved among town as a former school baseball hero.
And while the wee Chicken Little has a great degree of detail to his feathery body, most of the characters are rather rubbery, and their environments tend to be staid.

When Chicken Little first alerts the citizens of the sleepy little hamlet called Oakey Oaks that the sky is falling, the alarm bells put into play a series of calamitous events that lead to the toppling of the village’s water tower.
Chicken Little suffers from many problems, but its biggest is that it is only kinda funny and while Disney’s aim is to make smart, witty, computer-animated fare like those made by Pixar, the jokes here are out of whack.
Chicken Little’s the product of a single parent home; while the fate of his mother is left untold, Chicken Little is reared by his father, who was a middle school baseball star.

There is a sweetness in the way Chicken Little remains resourceful even when placed in a shadow of doubt and ridicule from his peers and elders, and his rise back to the top is one that young audience members will especially get involved in and root for.
"Chicken Little" may be a slight entertainment, but like the diminutive title character, the movie is good-natured, hard to dislike, and always able to recover after any stumble.

"Chicken Little" (2005) / a review and/or comments from Christian Spotlight on the Movies
The dialogue that Chicken Little has with his friends in regards to his relationship with his father are quite powerful for a children’s movie, and though I do feel it’s a little heavy for very young children, I see it as a great tool for parents to use while opening up discussion with their kids.
There is a very touching scene in which Chicken Little and his father resolve their differences, and this seems to lead to Chicken Little to admit that he has always had an attraction to Abby (the ugly duckling).
Chicken Little’s perspective on fresh starts, friendships and acceptance is nothing short of admirable, and this little chicken is a great choice for being a big hero.

Chicken Little review (2005) Disney - Qwipster's Movie Reviews
Zach Braff (Garden State, "Scrubs") voices Chicken Little, a nebbish young chick that gets himself into an embarrassing situation for himself and his doting father, Buck (Garry Marshall, A League of Their Own), by telling the town that the sky is falling.
Believed to be delusional, Chicken Little finds he must prove himself to his off-put sports-loving father again by taking up baseball, and being a hero on the field.
While I would have little problem in letting a young child see this, especially if they haven't already seen Finding Nemo, Shrek, and many of the other movies this one emulates, this is a difficult film to sit though for more mature, family film-savvy viewers.
