Chicken Run is a wonderful movie for both children and adults.
Chicken Run keeps both the style and the heart of the Wallace and Gromit series, but features chickens as the main characters.
The youngest children (like my 4-year-old) might be scared by an off-screen beheading of one of the chickens and some of the tense chase scenes, but other than that the movie has lots of harmless fun and several gently-applied messages about perseverance and loyalty.

Some are simple arcade challenges, like firing chickens latched onto fireworks through windows or catapulting chickens onto floating boats (and in a sick twist, if you land two chickens on one boat, one knocks the other off the sinking float), but the handling is almost entirely unique in the game for these ordinary games.
Chicken Run doesn't have that immediacy in the low-res sound effects and weak key sounds.
All told, the gameplay of Chicken Run is innovative and exciting to play through, and since expectations were probably fairly low anyway (who puts faith in a kid's game to be great), it's a pleasant surprise.

With time a matter of grave importance, the chickens have to band together and hatch what must finally be a successful plan or risk ending up embedded in dough on the aisle of a grocery store.
The first and longer of the two, is called ’Poultry in Motion: the Making of Chicken Run’ and spends a lot of time with the actors and going over the story and offers some basic information on the animation process, recording the foley effects, and composing the score.
The second featurette, called ’Hatching Chicken Run’ is a bit of a let down because it repeats some of the same video and sound bytes from the other featurette, but does, however, spend more time with the directors, talking about the history of Aardman and the process of getting ’Chicken Run’ off the ground.

As cofounder of what is known as the "Chicken Run", I suppose it is up to me to describe it's history, long time participants, how it got started, and the origins of some of it's traditions.
