Mile after mile of barren ground and the entry into Chiclayo, our Port of Entry into northern Peru, was desert looking, and not particularly scenic.
When we checked out of Chiclayo we found we needed a Peruvian General Declaration form to fill out which they did not have.
The reason they didn't have the form was the airport recently became an international facility and only saw 5-6 foreign airplanes a year and mostly private jets (and almost never a single engine plane from the US) who usually carried with them the necessary papers.
