	The Indian chief is a strong, brave and great leader
		Historians believe the Chief Pontiac was called chief only the white man. They have come to believe that the Ottawas themselves did not have a chief at the time when Pontiac became famous.
		Pontiac was allies with the French and in April of that year, he got together with other Indian leaders to call for attacks on British forts.
		In 1766, Chief Pontiac and Sir William Johnson, the British Superintendent of Indian Affairs, agreed to end the fighting.
