Chief Superintendent Ali Dizaei's book 'Not One of Us' is due to be published on 12 March 2007.
Chief Superintendent Dizaei was acquitted on charges of misconduct in public office and perverting the course of justice.
It is not our intention to comment on Chief Superintendent Dizaei's personal recollection and interpretation of specific events.  We repeat our regret that he chooses to publish this book.

In the British Police, CSP is senior to a Superintendent and junior to an Assistant Chief Constable (or a Commander in the Metropolitan Police or City of London Police).
Traditionally, chief superintendents have commanded divisions, but since widespread reorganisation in the 1990s many forces have abandoned divisions for different forms of organisation and the areas commanded by chief superintendents vary widely from force to force.

Chief Superintendent is a senior rank in police forces organised on the British model.
In the British police, a Chief Superintendent (Ch Supt; or colloquially "Chief Super") is senior to a Superintendent and junior to an Assistant Chief Constable (or a Commander in the Metropolitan Police or City of London Police).
The senior detective and commander of the Criminal Investigation Department in most forces is a Detective Chief Superintendent (DCS) (although in the Metropolitan Police, a DCS may only command a branch of the CID) and the rank of Chief Superintendent may also be used by the commanders of other headquarters departments.

 Chief Superintendent Malcolm Frewtrell - Telegraph
Chief Superintendent Malcolm Fewtrell, who died on November 28 aged 96, led the Buckinghamshire Police in the investigation of the Great Train Robbery.
Fewtrell was not allowed to join the Armed Forces on the outbreak of war, and by 1950 he had reached the rank of detective inspector; four years later he was appointed chief superintendent.
In addition to routine post office robberies and murders, he was once given the unusual task of assembling 10 redheaded men for an identity parade with the A6 murderer James Hanratty, which necessitated borrowing several servicemen from an RAF station.

On November 9, 2006, James F. Notter was appointed the District’s Interim Superintendent, replacing Dr. Frank Till.
Notter, the District’s Deputy Superintendent, Chief of Staff since July of 2003, officially assumed the leadership role of Broward County Public Schools on Friday, November 17, 2006.
He was named Deputy Superintendent in July of 2001 and added the Chief of Staff role to his responsibilities in July of 2003.
